Hi ladies, Sarah here :) I just want to have a little rave about a new little beauty product I got my hands on. It's called Nivea hydration primer. I've always been on the lookout for the next best thing when it comes to primers. I can't live without one & I swear by them!! I find my skin feels like silk, my makeup glides on and stays put a lot longer than usual when I use one.
I have tried a lot of high end & low end brand of primers. Everything from GOSH to SMASHBOX to MAC. I love MAC prep & prime, but I just cannot seem to make it last long enough. I went into Sam McCaughleys pharmacy 4 weeks ago to collect a prescription and we all know that when we go into a chemist of any kind we all end up exiting with a few too many beauty buys :) I have also been searching the shelves of my local pharmacies for a good hydration moisturiser. Every moisturiser I use tends to make my skin feel oily & look very shiny and I always aim for a matte finish when it comes to my makeup finish. I've heard a friend rave about Nivea products so many times, so when I spotted Nivea hydration primer priced at €6.48 I snapped it up and it came home with me :)
So that night I had a good long soak in a hot bath. After my bath I did my everyday routine, which is using my saint Ives facial scrub for sensitive skin, cleansing using my Clinique cleanser and finally to top it off I moisturised using my new little friend, my Nivea primer. You only need to apply a TINY amount to the face and neck! A little goes a long way. It felt like silk & smells too good to be true! I could instantly feel it soaking into my skin and my pores were very happy with the beautiful cooling sensation. From that moment on I knew it was a good moisturiser if nothing else.
The next morning I was up early (7.30am) for work, I cleaned my face using a facial wipe & rubbed in some primer. I allowed it a few minutes to soak in, I did my hair while I waited. Then onto makeup. I did my forever religious makeup routine. The one I very rarely change, and if I do change something it's something very minor like a new brand of eyeliner, colour blush or lipstick. NOTHING else ever changes. My skin looked flawless, not a shiny patch in sight. I was so happy with how my skin & makeup looked. My skin felt free even though I was wearing concealer, foundation, powder and blush. My face usually feels clogged and I can't wait to get home to take it off!!! But not this day. This day I wore my makeup all day & it barely budged. I was SO happy with the result!!
I have used it religiously since I've purchased it and ladies its PERFECT!! There's a lot of product, compact, affordable, smooth & plus the main thing it really really works & works wonderfully at that :) No more dry or clogged up skin. Just nice fresh feeling skin that's thanking you because it is no longer blocked up with foundation. I promise that you will NOT regret buying this product. It will become a staple in your makeup bag for life!!
So there will be no more searching for the perfect primer that actually works. It's HERE. I have finally found the one that does it all for me and my overly sensitive fussy skin. I am very one happy lady :)
