TOP FIVE MAC LIPSTICKS

Hey there, hi there, ho there! Sarah here again. I know I said my last post was going to be little and ended up going on forever!!!! This is going to be little I promise :)

So I am an absolute MAC whore. I love love love their products!! I am totally obsessed. I was never into their lipsticks but recently I have stocked up on quiet a few and it's had become my new addiction. These are my top 5:

No 1 CANDY YUM YUM. This colour is a matte bright fuchsia pink. It looks amazing with a nice tan, light coloured clothing & a winged eye.

No 2 SUNNY SEOUL. I love this for every day or if I'm going for dinner with my other half :) it's a super cute, girlie, creamy pink. Makes your lips feel so nourished.

No 3 RUBY WOO. This is a matte bright red. It does dry your lips a little, so to prevent dryness apply some Vaseline before use. It stays on amazingly well and comes out so red. The pigment is fantastic!! A def must have if you love a classic red lip.

No 4. CHATTERBOX. This is an amplified lipstick. So gorgeous & bright. Lovely for meeting the girls, for shopping or for lunch dates. Perfect for finishing off that perfect summer look. Ideal for holidays.

No 5 IM-PASSIONED. Another amplified lipstick!! This is truly beautiful on the lips. It would suit any skin colour or tone!! Beautiful for a night out with a nice light smokey eye. Perfect for date nights or nights on the tiles.

Makeup I CANNOT live without X

Hi guys! Sarah here :) just going to write a little post about the makeup items I cannot live without. We all have our must haves, the items that we restock & repurchase all of the time! These are the items in my makeup bag that I never allow to run out! (Or try my hardest not to be without). I will write this post in the order I apply the products.

Firstly, I always start with a good primer. I have done a post about this if you want to have a read of that! It's called Nivea Express Hydration PRIMER! I love this little gem to bits. It's around €8 which is fantastic for a good primer. It feels like silk on your skin and keeps my makeup in place all day long. This is an absolute must have in your makeup bag.

Then theres my most favourite foundation of all time. MAC Studio Sculpt. In my mac products I always purchase the colour NW 20. With this foundation you only need a small amount for your whole face & it is full coverage which I love. It doesn't make your skin feel clogged at all with is an absolute bonus!

I always apply my concealer after my foundation, I know that other people apply it before. But it is what works best for me :) I use MAC Mineralize Concealer in NW20. It's a liquid form with an applicator which I love, it's easy to apply and does exactly what it's supposed to do. I have dark circles under my eyes & this covers them perfectly.

I then set my makeup with MAC Studio Fix Powder in NW20. I cannot rave about this stuff enough!!! I'm telling you girls it's a god send!!! I'm so glad I discovered this back a few years ago when I began my MAC obsession. I can not describe in words how amazing full coverage this is and how well it sets foundation. If I do not have this in my makeup bag I am not a happy camper & will drive two hours to my closest MAC store to get my hands on 3 of them at one time :)

Then just to add a small bit of dimension to my face, I contour a little. And to do this I used MAC Studio Fix Powder in NW40. It's the perfect colour for me to contour with & as I've said in the paragraph before this stuff was made by a genius!!! Bless those brains :)

I love me some blusher!!!! So I have quite a few from MAC but my two favourites are: peachykeen, which is a bronzed shimmer colour. There's a nice shimmery hue to this! I feel in love from my first application. Then there is my most fave of all MAC blushes: well dressed!! Such a soft pink, suitable for every day or night time! So girlie and comes out a beautiful colour on the skin. I highly recommend these two if you aren't very experimental with your blushers. They are eye catchjng yet subtle!

I like to highlight my cheek bones, to do this I use a cream colour base from MAC called shell. This is so creamy, it glides onto the skin and when the light catches this it is beautiful! It's also gorgeous on the brow bone for a night out :)

My eyes are extremely sensitive. I can't use cheapish eye products or my eyes will continuously water and go really red and itchy! Out of all the mascaras and eyeliners I have tried. Urban Decay & Benefit products are the only ones that don't cause this reaction. So I have stuck to these two amazing products due to the facts that they don't cause my eyes to become sore, plus the fact I have spent so much money trying to find the perfect ones that I am staying put with these two :) the eyeliner is called 24/7 glide on eye pencil, the colour is perversion. It's the blackest black. It glides on and stay on!! It doesn't smudge, not even in the slightest. I swear by it. Then there's the fab mascara, it's called supercurl curling mascara. This too is in black. This lengthens my eyelashes and takes them to a whole other level!! I love that it doesn't clump my eyelashes together. No spider lashes here :)

Lastly, I fill my eyebrows in using benefits Brow Zings. I use the colour medium. It comes compact, with wax, a filler, an application brush & mini tweezers. This is the perfect colour for my skin tone. And it works perfectly. The wax keeps your stray hairs at bay, the filler fills all your little peeping gaps, the brush is perfect and the tweezers is so handy to pluck any unwanted growing hairs. So this is ideal for keeping your eyebrow in shape and looking groomed to perfection.

If I'm heading out on a night out I will add eyelure lashes in 116, a bright lipstick and a little eyeshadow just to up my game a little because I wear makeup everyday!!

HAUL HAUL HAUL!!!

Over the last week I've bought a few things and I'd love to share them with you. So here they are, Enjoy.

Ok so the first thing I bought were these pink, studded doc marten style boots. I got them in Shoe Rack and they cost 45euro. I know they're not real doc martens but I think they're pretty cool and I likes them (a lot).

The next thing I bought was this over sized mickey mouse t-shirt. I bought this in penneys for 8euro. This top isn't designed to be over sized, I just bought it in a bigger size so it would be over sized on me, as that's the way I likes most my tees! I thought this was really cute and would look well with just black leggings and converse for a casual look.( and please excuse my terrible modelling ha!)

Ok so I know these have been a trend with a while now and I do have a pair in black with AGES!! But, I said why not venture out and explore more colours. Soo.. I bought more DISCO PANTS!! Yay!! haha. I think these are really cool and I think they'll be really nice for the summer. You can dress them up or down. Throw on a pair of heels and you're ready for a night out, Or a pair of converse/docs for a more casual feel. These cost around 15euro each from penneys. I got them in red and grey.

Ok so as you can see from the previous photos, I've been wearing this white beanie style hat. I LOVE IT!! I'm gone crazy for hats this year. I bought this hat in River Island for 10euro. I decided on white as you could wear it with absolutely ANYTHING!! But there are various colours to choose from.

The last clothing item I bought were these adorable studded pumps. I got these from penneys and they cost 11euro. I went with the nudey peach colour as I feel I could wear it with a lot more and also it has gold studs and the other colours had silver haha! I know that may be a bit weird but I'm not that big a fan of silver :/

Ok so on to beauty things the first is an item that I've repurchased. I love this lipstick so much and the colour is to die for! Yes, you've guessed it. It's the Kate Moss collection for Rimmel in colour 107!! This lipstick is amazing and this is around my 5th time repurchasing it. Definitely recommend.

Ok so the next lipstick, I got was actually a gift from my Aunt. She had purchased it for herself but wasn't keen on the colour. So I being the lipstick fanatic that I am said I'd try it out. By the way, she offered it to me I didn't just take it off her ha!! It's from AVON and in the colour raspberry 313.

Ok so still in the lippy department, I decided to invest in something that has been making its way around the beauty world like crazy lately and they are Apocalips from Rimmel. I got them from Boots and they were 8euro each. I've only bought two shades but after experiencing how amazing they are first hand, I definitely want to try more. They look like a pigmented lipgloss but they're more of a lip lacquer. They are super pigmented and last all day long. The first shade is 303 apocaliptic and the second shade is 501 stellar.

Next I bought this Barry M nail polish. I want to try the gel ones but unfortunately this isn't in that formula. I being the numpty that I am didn't read the bottle correctly and I thought it was until I got home. But nevertheless I love this colour and I think it's amazing. I sometimes fine that Barry M nail polishes can be very thin but just throw on a few coats and you are good to go haha! This is in shade berry bloom.

Moving on, I got this blush from the Lady Gaga collection for MAC. It's in the colour rouge. It's a very bright pink and I wouldn't recommend wearing it if you also have on a bright lippy as your face will just look super pink/red. But I love this colour.

Last for the beauty items is again just a repurchase. It's my favourite MAC studio fix powder. I am obsessed with this. I use this to set all my make up and I swear my face stays put all day. This is in shade NC25.

The last in the fashiony things is this thick gold chain. I've been wanting one of these for ages!! I saw them in River Island for 16euro and then I saw them in Penneys for 5euro. So I bought the one from penneys. It's fine like it looks similar but it's too short, it's like a choker. I think I may be buying the one from River Island after all.

Ok the last 2 items of this haul, are more furniturey type things ha. I needed a new small mirror for my room and I bought this one in TK Maxx for 17euro. It's double sided and one side is normal and the other is super magnifying so you can pluck your eyebrows and what not.

AND.. drumroll please.. The last item of this super long haul is.. Bed Covers haha!! Kept the best for last eh? Ok maybe not. Forgive me. I got these covers from penneys for 13euro. I thought they were really cute for this time of year and it's a change for me as I usually just have pinks and purples or leopard print.

Ok so that's it!! I hope you liked at least some of the things I bought. In the future I'm going to try and keep my posts short and sweet as I feel some of them may be super long and boring! So for now, bye.

Harpers 1st birthday party xxx

Hi everyone, Sarah here with a very exciting post :) My little girl turned one Friday just gone!!!!! It is so scary how fast this year has gone. I cannot believe that this time last year harper was in an incubator in the neonatal unit of our regional hospital, due to being early & weighing 5 pounds. BUT now my little lady is perfectly healthy, happy & totally enjoying life.

Friday morning, when harper woke up myself & her daddy both went into her room to say good morning and we sang happy birthday to her. She clapped & smiled for the entire song :) recently, harper has started to say her own name. She looked at me when we were finished singing happy birthday and said harper!!!! I just started crying haha. It is so emotional when your little baby turns one. It's such a big birthday :)

We brought her down stairs for breakfast & dressed her to bring her birthday shopping. We headed straight for the toy store :) harpers eyes lit up & we started picked out what to buy. We bought her peppa pig DVDs, Minnie Mouse teddy & a ball pit for the back garden. Then we brought her to the town centre where we brought her for her lunch & bought her new Nike runners & a DVD player for the car for all our car journeys.

We then visited her nanny from her daddies side. She had some chocolate & played with her nanny & granddad, uncles & aunty. It was then time to go home, so harper took a little nap. When harper woke up we had dinner and played on her play mats, then watched some telly. My mam and dad came for a little visit to play with her & wish her a happy birthday. Her aunty Cathy & her boyfriend called to our house with her present which was a lovely slide for out the back. Bed time crept up on me before I knew it!!

SATURDAY WAS PARTY DAY :) we were all so excited getting ready. Harper wore a party dress, lemon cardigan, pink shoes & lemon hair flower. She looked so adorable!!!! I cried again haha. We organised for a bouncy castle to be put up for the older children, they had great fun!!! We had LOADS AND LOADS of goodies, party bags & fuzzy drinks :) all of harpers family & little friends came to wish had a happy birthday. Harper was basking in all of the attention and smiled all day long while being passed from one person to another to oogle over her, she loved every second of it. She really enjoyed the bouncy castle too, she had a little bounce when it was quite with her little cousins jack & Rachel.

Harpers cake was pink with polka dots, a Minnie Mouse bow & her name. It was so cute & very tasty :) everybody enjoyed it, especially the adults. Harper was delighted to have all her family & friends around her to celebrate her turning one. I'm so glad she had the most perfect day & thankfully the day was gorgeous too. I would do it all over again in the morning :). Happy birthday to you my beautiful girl, mammy & daddy love you very much xxxx
