Friday morning, when harper woke up myself & her daddy both went into her room to say good morning and we sang happy birthday to her. She clapped & smiled for the entire song :) recently, harper has started to say her own name. She looked at me when we were finished singing happy birthday and said harper!!!! I just started crying haha. It is so emotional when your little baby turns one. It's such a big birthday :)
We brought her down stairs for breakfast & dressed her to bring her birthday shopping. We headed straight for the toy store :) harpers eyes lit up & we started picked out what to buy. We bought her peppa pig DVDs, Minnie Mouse teddy & a ball pit for the back garden. Then we brought her to the town centre where we brought her for her lunch & bought her new Nike runners & a DVD player for the car for all our car journeys.
We then visited her nanny from her daddies side. She had some chocolate & played with her nanny & granddad, uncles & aunty. It was then time to go home, so harper took a little nap. When harper woke up we had dinner and played on her play mats, then watched some telly. My mam and dad came for a little visit to play with her & wish her a happy birthday. Her aunty Cathy & her boyfriend called to our house with her present which was a lovely slide for out the back. Bed time crept up on me before I knew it!!
SATURDAY WAS PARTY DAY :) we were all so excited getting ready. Harper wore a party dress, lemon cardigan, pink shoes & lemon hair flower. She looked so adorable!!!! I cried again haha. We organised for a bouncy castle to be put up for the older children, they had great fun!!! We had LOADS AND LOADS of goodies, party bags & fuzzy drinks :) all of harpers family & little friends came to wish had a happy birthday. Harper was basking in all of the attention and smiled all day long while being passed from one person to another to oogle over her, she loved every second of it. She really enjoyed the bouncy castle too, she had a little bounce when it was quite with her little cousins jack & Rachel.
Harpers cake was pink with polka dots, a Minnie Mouse bow & her name. It was so cute & very tasty :) everybody enjoyed it, especially the adults. Harper was delighted to have all her family & friends around her to celebrate her turning one. I'm so glad she had the most perfect day & thankfully the day was gorgeous too. I would do it all over again in the morning :). Happy birthday to you my beautiful girl, mammy & daddy love you very much xxxx
